Somethin’ Outa Nothing’ at Red Eye Theater by Meridian Movement Co - March 15 to March 16

Somethin’ Outa Nothin’

Friday and Saturday, March 15-16 at 7:00pm

Four resilient men embark on a transformative exploration of manhood and community – drawing inspiration from the dynamic narratives of hip-hop, the therapeutic somatic healing journey, and the cultural expansion embedded in their very existence.

The performance unfolds as a powerful narrative through the introspective exploration of finding true masculinity, and a vibrant celebration of hip-hop’s culture as a source of creativity and resilience.

The heart of the show lies in the profound journey of brotherhood and community, where trust is forged, bonds are tested, and the dancers attempt to redefine masculinity, embracing a holistic and healthy paradigm.

As the community faces a major emotional test, the performance explores a poignant reflection of resilience and strength born from shared struggles. The dancers, initially navigating their paths as individuals, discover the transformative power of unity, collectively learning to grieve, heal, and build a genuine community of support and dependability.

A symbolic rebirth and transformation, Somethin’ Outa Nothin’ celebrates the men’s newfound understanding of themselves and their interconnectedness.
