Come create at Ballet Co.Laboratory. Our artistic home is available for hourly rentals to independent artists and arts organizations. Book a single day to work on your artistry, secure a month to rehearse a show, or facilitate your weekly programming here – the choice is yours! Hours: Morning, daytime, and evening hours are available.
Free Parking: Available in front of the studio.
Public Transportation: The studio is accessible via the Green Line into downtown Saint Paul and the 71A or 71B bus.

Facility: We have five studios at Ballet Co.Laboratory with sprung floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and barres, plus four gender-neutral restrooms, changing rooms, and comfortable lobby space with Wi-fi access and ample seating. The entire facility is HVAC-heated and cooled.

Studio 1: 25′ x 50′ – 15-person capacity – $20/hour

Studio 3: 25′ x 30′ – 8-person capacity – $15/hour
Studio 4: 42′ x 50′ – 30-person capacity – Rental available via special request

Our studios offer versatile, well-equipped spaces designed to support performances, rehearsals, workshops, meetings, and creative work across disciplines. From intimate recitals and cabaret-style performances to full-scale rehearsals and community gatherings, each space is thoughtfully designed with flexibility and accessibility in mind.

Studio 105W and the Black Box (112W) function as adaptable performance venues, featuring sprung floors, customizable audience seating, professional theatrical lighting, and audio playback—ideal for performances, showings, and immersive experiences. Rehearsal and teaching studios like the Sunroom, Chapel, 205W, 305W, and 405W provide inspiring environments ranging from light-filled, window-lined spaces to quiet, historic rooms with character and warmth. Many studios include mirrors, sprung floors, Ethernet access for streaming or hybrid use, and flexible furniture options.

Additional equipment is available for rent, and most spaces are ADA accessible. Together, our studios form a dynamic ecosystem that supports artists, educators, and organizations at every stage of the creative process.

Our Space Offers:

Hourly rates range from $20-$25, with discounts/special offerings available to BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ communities. Inquire for savings.

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location. Evening and weekend availability!

Studio 1 has 1200 square feet of sprung floor, full wall-length mirrors, Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor, high ceilings, skylights, and three chandeliers. Rental Fees: $25/hour for rehearsals by nonprofit groups of 1-10. Other rental inquiries are subject to our event rate, starting at $30/hour. Please contact us for more information.

Studio 2 has 450 square feet of sprung wood floor. Rental Fees: $18/hour for individual artists, $22/hour for nonprofit organization rehearsals, and other rental inquiries start at $25/hour.

Both studios have the following amenities:
Ballet barres for up to 18 students
Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
Gender-specific bathrooms (non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building)
Free Wi-Fi and Bluetooth room speakers
Two folding tables and access to up to 30 chairs
Microwave, small refrigerator, and hallway drinking fountains
HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control

Street shoes on dance floors are strictly forbidden. Dance sneakers (not worn outdoors) are fine in the small studio only.

New rental requests must be made at least 72 hours prior to your requested time. Payment for rental bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your booking to hold your reservation. A signed rental agreement and certificate of insurance must be provided prior to your reservation. Please contact us at rentals@collidetheatrical.org to schedule a tour.

The Sabathani Community Center in South Minneapolis has a dance studio available for hourly rental. The building includes security and free parking. The studio space includes mirrors, ballet barres, and hardwood floors.

Young Dance has two large studios available for rent in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul. The space is easily accessible by the Green Line light rail, 16 and 67 bus lines, and has ample parking in the Fairview Business Center parking lot. It is fully ADA accessible, with ramps to the sprung studio floor and automatic door openers.

The studios are newly equipped with sprung Harlequin Marley flooring, a Bluetooth speaker system, and Wifi. A projector with AV adapters is available by request. Studio 2 has ballet barres and a mirror. The studios are regularly disinfected (all floors and surfaces) and include an HVAC system that refreshes the air 7-8 times per hour.

Studio 2: Measures 38′ x 38′ and rents at $25/hour

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming. TU Dance Center features a reception area and front desk for check-in or event use. Access to the adjacent dressing room and green room with a kitchenette is available upon request.

Room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs
50″ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing

Studio 1 only: A curtain that can be drawn on the entire mirror and wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′.

Individual artists: $20/hour
Nonprofit organizations: $25/hour for rehearsals

Threads Dance Nexus is a community hub that not only provides a home for Threads Dance Project but also strengthens the social fabric of our Minneapolis community through the unifying power of dance.

501(c)3/Individual Artists: $27 per hour

If you’re renting space through Threads, please be aware that there is an additional 10% charge above the regular base rate for renters who charge fees during their rental.
