Twin Cities Ballet’s Bold Revival of Carmina Burana - November 1 to November 2

Love and lust ignite the stage in Twin Cities Ballet’s (TCB) bold revival of Loyce Houlton’s acclaimed Carmina Burana—a raw, sensuous journey set to Carl Orff’s epic score.

Saturday, November 1 at 7:30pm
Sunday, November 2 at 2:00pm
Tickets start at $54.85 ($42.50 + $12.35 fees).

TCB’s performances of this popular work at the historic Fitzgerald Theater marks the first time this production will be performed in St. Paul. In this production, Loyce Houlton’s masterful choreography is reimagined as a total theater experience by Ms. Houlton’s daughter, Lise Houlton, with Dominique Serrand. This production will honor and preserve this iconic piece of our state’s cultural heritage, as well as the legacy of its original choreographer, Loyce Houlton.

This TCB company premiere is a stunning fusion of dance, live music, and choral power, featuring TCB dancers, the Minnesota Chorale, renowned vocalists, and top-tier musicians, drawing inspiration from 13th-century vagrant monks’ poetic homage to passion. Carmina Burana brings the human pangs of love and lust, mixed with the earthly rumblings of fortune and fate, to a fully expressive celebration in a hedonistic romp of bodies, music, and movement.

Don’t miss one of the year’s biggest artistic collaborations—an electrifying showcase of Minnesota talent and creativity.
