Can’t help but groove to a funky bass line? Air-drumming passionately as the drummer breaks it down? So are we—so come break it down with us at Rhythmic Joy! This 3-class workshop experience from ADT dancer Davente Gilreath asks us to consider the human body as a musical instrument. How does thinking of the body as a musical instrument within the music change your approach to movement? How does the body produce rhythm even when there is no sound? The workshop will feature heavy emphasis on body isolations, polyrhythms and quick footwork as we journey to discover how our bodies create music.
