Yes, we all love The Nutcracker (or at least… tolerate it…), but there’s a new holiday show in town! Presenting Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins, an original, family-friendly, contemporary, and Yiddish dance production based on the children’s book by Eric Kimmel and Trina Schart Hyman, directed and choreographed by Hannah MacKenzie-Margulies.
In the story, a wandering trickster named Hershel saves a village in Ukraine from a pack of goblins who have taken over their synagogue and are preventing them from celebrating the holiday of Hanukkah. There is drama; there is celebration; there are pickles.
Featuring a multi-generation cast and live music by Di Bayke Klezmer Band, this production runs approximately 40 minutes. Don’t miss it!
