The FermentationLAB ([still a]pilot program) is a no cost month long space and time curated laboratory to begin, develop, workshop, clean, finalize, play, research and/or ferment movement based works.
Continuing in November 2025, Doma Dance Theater will offer broad access of their studio to one artist culminating in two showings shared with Doma resident dramaturg, Marcela Michelle.
Artists are expected to:
- Utilize a total of 20-40 hours of time in the Doma Studio
- Publicly share 15-35 minutes of work over two showings at the end of the LAB
- Work with Doma to determine a talkback/feedback session/show and tell protocol to be used during the showings that meets both their needs
- Be present at both final showings

Applications Due: Tuesday, September 30 at 11:59pm CST
Start of program: Saturday, November 1
Artists notified of selection by Saturday, October 4
Showing weekend: Friday, December 5—Sunday, December 7 (artists will determine dates/times).
Tech day/walk-through will occur the day before showings.
