The Fox & Beggar Theatre is taking its latest show “GOODNIGHT, ABSALOM!” on a fully-outdoor theater tour this September around the Great Lakes, in a solar-powered double-decker mobile pop-up proscenium theater! We are currently seeking a substitute for one of our cast who is no longer able to tour.
First preference given to MN-based dancers of color with contemporary dance training, comfortable touring with a large group of energized and rabble-rousing weirdos for six weeks.
“GOODNIGHT, ABSALOM!” is a surreal dark comedy about American capitalism and political polarization, set inside a very strange game of chess in the Wild West.
Performances will be FREE and ALL-AGES via pop-up shows in public parks of Duluth, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Northfield, Wykoff, Viroqua, Milwaukee, Chicago, Grand Rapids, and Detroit.
Cast members will receive a daily stipend of $20/day for all rehearsal and performance days, as well as 5% of all earned tips/donations, with a $1,000 total project guarantee. Meals, transportation, and lodging provided on tour.
