Shen Pei Arts Alliance is seeking 2 professional or semi-professional male dancers to join our upcoming productions, including three new dance works and an original full-length dance drama.
Each dance piece is approximately 5 minutes in length, with the drama including around 20 minutes of dance. Rehearsal time varies by dancer’s background and skill level, but each dance requires at least 10 hours of rehearsal. Performance time is calculated in hourly units; every additional 3 minutes of performance counts as 30 minutes.
Compensation: $15–$50 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
Performance Dates: Mid-December of 2025, late April of 2026, August of 2026
Qualifications:
- Professional or semi-professional male dancers (East Asian descent preferred, but not required)
- At least 8 years of dance training
- Minimum 2 years’ training in one or more of the following: Chinese dance, Korean dance (preferred),
- Mongolian dance, ballet, modern dance, or martial arts
- At least 2 years of stage performance experience
- Partnering/pas de deux experience preferred
