The 2026 fall repertory reflects the breadth of ARENA DANCES’ artistic vision through four distinctive works:
- One Room – A remount of an excerpt from Artistic Director Mathew Janczewski’s acclaimed trio, set to music by Nils Frahm.
- New Creation (untitled)– A world premiere quartet by acclaimed New York choreographer Elinor Kleber-Diggs, created during her residency with ARENA DANCES.
- Fishscale – The return of Shane Larson’s dancers’ favorite, bringing its dynamic physicality back to the stage.
- Deluxe Edition – Minnesota choreographer Morgan Thorson’s celebrated work, offering audiences one of the state’s most distinctive contemporary dance voices.
Powerhouse Dancers: Nieya Amezquita, Alex Arce, Non Edwards, and Sarah McCullough, with special guests Benny Olk and Timo Wagner.

Together, these works embody ARENA DANCES’ ongoing commitment to presenting innovative contemporary dance that balances local artistic leadership with national creative exchange. “Each season is an opportunity to deepen relationships—with artists, audiences, and our community,” said Artistic Director Mathew Janczewski. “This repertory reflects where ARENA DANCES is today: honoring work that has shaped us while commissioning new voices that will define our future. It is a season built on trust, collaboration, and the belief that contemporary dance can create meaningful connections.”
