Enjoy an interdisciplinary performance art experience at the Lanesboro Arts Gallery! Artist-in-Residence, Alys Ayumi Ogura, will perform an interactive art dance performance piece that draws from the art around her. Inspired by Liz Bucheit’s Hand of the Huldra show at the Lanesboro Arts Exhibition Gallery (on view August 16-October 19), Alys Ayumi Ogura will conduct a partially structured live dance improvisation to complement the exhibition. Her movements will be directly inspired by Liz’s artwork.
Saturday, September 6
Begins at 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm, and 12:30pm
Yumi’s live performance will last for 20 minutes and will be repeated four times, with a 10-minute break in between each cycle. This event represents an interdisciplinary collaboration between visual and performing arts, exploring the boundaries of a non-conventional theater/performance space.
This performance, like all residency events, is free and open to the public.
