Laboratory II is a mixed repertory dance production that Ballet Co.Laboratory produces annually. The mission of this production is to give emerging choreographers an opportunity to build a work with the support of an entire artistic staff and to give student artists an opportunity to be part of a work’s creation from its inception.

This year's production will focus on giving three emerging BIPOC choreographers the opportunity to create a dance piece for professional filmed performance. Selected choreographers will each create a new, original dance work that is five to ten minutes in length, to be set on and performed by the upper-level students of The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory. Student casts will range between eight to twelve dancers. One choreographer will be selected to choreograph a ten- to fifteen-minute work on the Company of Ballet Co.Laboratory, a cast of sixteen dancers.

Artists and choreographers interested in applying should complete the application before January 9, 2021.
