soma club is a low-light, intimate yogic offering limited to 6 people at a time, held at the Center for Performing Arts Chapel rehearsal studio weekly on Sundays, from 6:30-8:30 pm. The Chapel is a quiet and private space with stained glass windows, 1930s pendant lights, sprung maple floors, mirrors, and original woodwork. Located on the second floor East Wing, it is not ADA-accessible.
There are plush oriental rugs available for practice while in the Chapel. The only thing you need for soma club is a notebook and something to write with. You are encouraged to bring along anything else that helps you ground, and feel comfortable.

soma club begins with a gentle warmup and calming our nervous systems by deepening our breath and journaling. Slowing down further, we’ll enter a gentle asana practice, exploring the physical nature of the postures, to find the most comfortable and restorative expressions in our own bodies. The opportunity to investigate the practice’s personal, emotional, and/or liminal aspects will also be offered, through built-in time for reflection or drawing. The practice ends with traditional Pranayama, and body scan, to allow for greater interoceptive awareness.
We welcome participants to stick around after class to share their experiences or ask questions in a community setting.
