In this special performance on July 16 at 6 pm Amanda Sachs and Elena Hollenhorst will present Searching for Giants, a contemporary dance duet. This free performance is part of the Northern Lakes Arts Association’s Arts in the Park at Whiteside Park in Ely, MN. This work premiered at MN Orchestra’s International Day of Music and they have since performed it at Dances at the Lake Festival and the Tek Box in Minneapolis.
The following evening July 17 from 6-8 pm, Amanda and Elena will be teaching a dance workshop which will inform participants about the creative process, and incorporate improv as well as phrase work. Participants of all ability levels ages 12+ are welcome.
Amanda and Elena will also host a performance of this work on July 19 at the Tofte Lake Center outside of Ely, MN.
