Over the course of 5 sessions (2 hours each), interdisciplinary artist, martial artist and cultural movement scholar, Jamie J. Philbert, will guide participants in developing collaborative community “stations” that seek to benefit African diasporic mediascapes and landscapes.
Sessions will be framed through Philbert-Kalinda Technique for dance and performance and includes reflexive writing practice, sonic extra-somatic experiences, and an African diasporic martial arts based movement vocabulary.
Days/times: In-person and online on Saturdays between May 20 and June 17, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm CST

Series cost: $200/person
