Barbara Barker Dance Center- UMN
After a three year hiatus Duniya Drum & Dance is bringing back Fakoly an authentic, culturally immersive experience into the world of traditional West African drum and dance. The workshop offers hand drumming and dance classes for the community at any level and any age beginner through advanced. Instruction is provided by professional master drummers and dancers from Guinea West Africa who are dedicated to sharing their knowledge of traditional percussion and movement.
“This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.”
